The Tacoma TRD Pro is Named the Mid-size Pickup Truck of Texas

While awards are always nice, there are some that just seem to carry a little more heft. Case in point? The awards handed out by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) -- one of the country's most influential associations of automotive journalists -- at their annual Texas Truck Rodeo. So you can't really blame Toyota for being extremely proud of the fact that the Tacoma TRD Pro pickup truck earned the "Mid-size Pickup Truck of Texas" award for the second straight year.

Toyota Indiana Facility Celebrates Assembly of Five Million Vehicles

Back in 1998, Sandra and Andres Chaparro felt a strong sense of pride when the first Toyota vehicle rolled off the assembly line at the company's plant in Princeton, Indiana. After all, they were part of a small team of employees who'd had a hand in building the vehicle. So you can only imagine how they feel now that the facility recently sent its five millionth vehicle -- a Toyota Sequoia Platinum SUV -- down the line.
