Toyota Unveils New Prius Technology

We're most likely a little biased, but here at Bill Kidd's Toyota Scion, we love the Prius. Now, thanks to a press release announced earlier today, we have new information about the 2016 version that has us even more enthusiastic about the famous hybrid.

Thanks to a redesigned 1.8-liter engine, exhaust gas recirculation system, and improved air intake port, the 2016 Prius is able to achieve 40 percent thermal efficiency. This, combined with a greater power-to-weight ratio will give it the highest fuel economy of any vehicle without a plug.

On top of better performance and fuel economy, the new Prius will come with available state-of-the-art safety features, like a pre-collision system, and pedestrian detection system.

We'll be keeping an eye out for more news, but until then, you can learn more about the new Prius in the following article from Automobile Magazine.
