2014 Toyota Corolla Details Leaked

We've known for a while now that the Toyota Corolla would be getting a facelift sometime in the near future. It's a great vehicle with note-worthy fuel economy,, a comfortable interior, and more than enough get-up-and-go for those daily commutes but casual fans in the Baltimore area and experts alike have been yearning for something more from its appearance. Well count your lucky stars because this nex-gen sedan is looking pretty incredible.

Thanks to the fine folks over at Car and Driver, we've been given a little more information on the upcoming 2014 Corolla. The pictures we'd seen before gave us the Furia concept, looking more aggressive and sporty than the Corolla we're used to, but rumor states that there will be a healthy dose of Camry-inspired styling to be found on the final model.

We're hearing that the 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine will stick around for the time being, but Toyota's Valvematic continuously variable valve timing system will be a welcome addition. Automatic transmissions will be four-speed and the manual transmission will be six-speeders. The current Corolla hits around 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque, so this new model is expected to increase both values, but for now those details are hazy.

Stay tuned to our blog for more news on the 2014 Corolla as it comes. Until then, come on down to Bill Kidd's Toyota in Cockeysville, MD. We'd love to show your around the new Toyota lineup, answer any questions you have, and set you up with a test drive sure to put a smile on your face!
